CAFOD is the official agency of the Catholic Church.
CAFOD stands for
Catholic Agency ForOverseas Development. CAFOD works for all people - whether they are black or white, Christian or Muslim, women or men, young or old. This is because we believe that we are made in God’s image, and God made all people equal. CAFOD campaigns to make the world a fairer place. CAFOD aims to get rid of world poverty by working in partnership with people in need. CAFOD helps people to find out about other countries and cultures .CAFOD helps when there are emergencies like tsunamis, droughts or earthquakes.
CAFOD helps people learn how to look after their environment and offers people training so that they can find jobs. CAFOD supporters raise money in England and Wales.
CAFOD believes YOU can make a difference! It is the official overseas development and relief agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, and as such has been fighting poverty in developing countries since 1962.
